1) Registry of Certificates granted to free Negroes under the Act of November Session Eighteen hundred and five, chapter Sixty Six Maryland Prince Georges County to wit hereby Certify that Clament a Boy about five feet nine inches high appearing to be about Nineteen years old of a yellow complexion marked with a round scar on or near his left Temple And a small black spot on the left side of his neck who was raised in the family of the late Richard Sprigg Esquire in the county of Prince Georges Aforesaid was liberated and set free by his mistress Ann Sprigg on the twelfth day of the present month by Deed of Manumission duly executed and recorded on the same day in my office Given under my hand and the seal of this office this fourteenth day of June in the year one thousand eight Hundred and six John Read Magruder j.r cl P G Cy C.t |
